The iCIO Community, a network of information technology leaders in Indonesia, has announced the winners of the 2024 iCIO Awards, celebrating technology and business leaders driving an exemplary digital transformation within their organizations, and thus enhancing corporate performance. The awards ceremony, held at the Thamrin Nine Ballroom alongside the Executive Leadership Forum, offered a valuable platform for collaboration and insightful discussions among industry leaders. The iCIO awards honor individuals who have not only overcome numerous challenges but have also shown steadfast dedication to driving digital transformation, creating tangible value for their organizations. The awards celebrate individuals who not only drive innovation but also demonstrate a strong commitment to digital transformation that delivers tangible benefits to society. This year, four leaders were recognized across three categories for the best chief information officers (CIOs) and one for the most inspiring CEO. This year’s iCIO Awards recipients were Tokopedia CIO Herman Widjaja as the Most Innovative CIO, DANA Indonesia chief technology officer Norman Sasono as the Most Intelligent CIO, BPJS Kesehatan director of information technology Edwin Aristiawan as the Most Influential CIO and BPJS Kesehatan president director Ali Ghufron Mukti honored as the Most Inspiring CEO.
The winners were chosen by a distinguished panel of judges, including leading figures from technology and business. In the CIO category, the judges included Pradita University rector and information technology expert Richardus Eko Indrajit, former communications and information minister Rudiantara, Accenture Indonesia managing director Retno Kusumawati and University of Indonesia computer engineering professor Riri Fitri Sari. In the CEO category, the panel featured Hasnul Suahimi, commissioner at PT Tripatra Engineers and Constructors and PT Paragon Technology and Innovation, and Betti Alisjahbana, founder of QB Leadership Center and independent commissioner at Bank OCBC. "The iCIO Awards honor leaders who have driven a meaningful change, created innovative solutions and strengthened the digital ecosystem. These individuals not only provide value to their organizations but also shape the future of technology in Indonesia," said advisor to the iCIO Community Harry Surjanto in commending the winners. As the chairman of the CIO judging panel, Richardus Eko Indrajit pointed out the challenges facing CIOs today. "In the post-pandemic era, IT is integral to digital transformation across industries. CIOs are expected to lead significant, transformative changes. With the right digital mindset, they can drive innovations that meet the needs of today’s consumers. A strong CIO is forward-thinking, not just reactive but also proactive and visionary." CEO category judge Hasnul Suhaimi emphasized the pivotal role of CEOs in an increasingly complex digital landscape. "This year, CEOs face the challenge of building a resilient culture to sustain digital transformation. Exceptional CEOs provide visionary leadership, execute effectively and foster a deep-rooted digital culture in their organizations. This shift is not just about technology or processes, it's a cultural transformation that drives progress," he said. The 2024 iCIO Awards not only recognized outstanding leadership but also served as a platform to inspire more leaders across Indonesia.
