Appointed as Director / Chief Service Management in September 2011. He joined XL in early 2009 as VP Corporate Strategy and Business Development and was a Senior VP of Service Management before his appointment as Director. Hewas also assigned as Chairman of Operating Committee.

Prior to joining XL, he was a Principal at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), with extensive experience in leading a number of consultancy projects in Telco and Banking industries across Asia and Europe. In 2005-2006 he was assigned to Boston, USA as part of the Top Performers program. Previously, he worked at Citibank Global Corporate and Investment Banking as Senior Credit Analyst/AVP.

Graduated from Bandung Institute of Technology in 1995 with an Engineering degree, and conferred a Master of Business Administration degree from Haas School of Business, University of California at Berkeley in 2003. He has completed all levels (1-3) for the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program from the CFA Institute (1999-2001).

Utoyo Nurtanio joined Trakindo in February 2011 as a Chief Information Officer. In his role, he was responsible to lead the Office of Strategy Management (OSM) which includes Information Communication & Technology (ICT), Six Sigma, and Organization Development. In line with the Company's strategy, in September 2011, Trakindo embarked on a multi-year business transformation program and he was entrusted to be the Program Director.

The business transformation program, named BRAVE (Business Reinvention and Value Enhancement), is a reflection of Trakindo’s spirit to continuously stretching itself to become yet a better organization. In line with that spirit, over the last decade Trakindo has been implementing innovation initiatives in various degrees and magnitudes. In February 2012, Utoyo was requested to institutionalize the innovation capability within Trakindo and in line with this, his title was aligned into Chief Innovation Officer.

Utoyo spent more than 20 years of his career in a prominent consulting firm, Accenture Indonesia (formerly known as Andersen Consulting) and successfully held various key projects with several leading national and multi-national companies ranging from automotive, heavy equipment, oil & gas, financials, manufacturing, distribution, and retail industries; primarily in the areas of business process re-engineering, systems integration, change management, and corporate transformation. In the IT space, he has vast experience in crafting IT Strategy that is linked to the overall Corporate Strategy all the way to implementing various ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, including custom systems to support the Corporate Strategy. Before pursuing his career in Trakindo, he was the Country Lead of the System Integration & Technologies (SI&T) practice of Accenture Indonesia which comprised of the following consulting services: Enterprise Integration, Enterprise Solutions, Information Management, Infrastructure Solutions, IT Strategy and Transformation, SAP Solutions, Oracle Solutions, Microsoft Solutions, Mobile Technology Solutions, and Systems Integration. In his role as CIO, he upholds the principle of “Making the impossible…possible”.

Utoyo earned his bachelor degree in Architectural Engineering from Trisakti University in 1987.
